Jenny Slate does double more the character of Missy in Big Mouth. Jenny Slate, american actress 38 years of age, a native of Massachusetts, admitted that, in interpreting Missy, she “carried out the removal of black people” in the audiovisual environment and used in spite of its “privileged white”.
The creators of Big Mouth, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett (which are also the voice actors of the characters), have all lent their support to Jenny Slate. “We sincerely apologize and regret that our original decision to hire a voice actress, white for a character biracial. We look forward to being able to explore the story of Missy with even more authenticity in the years to come,” they wrote.
As informs Variety, which cites a source close to the team of the series, production would have already completed the-season 4 (scheduled for this fall), which means that Missy will not be doubled by a new actress from season 5.
It was announced last year that Netflix had renewed Big Mouth for three seasons more, a total of six seasons.
