A knee injury forced her to cancel the concert
Ticket holders of the concert at Teatro Coliseu of Lisbon have received an email at around 19.45 on 19 January in which they are informed that the singer would climb on stage at 20.30 as expected. To decide on the suspension of Madonna’s performance would have been an injury to the knee, the tear of a ligament. The email read: “We regret to inform you that our Lady will not be able to play tonight.” A few minutes after the post published by the singer on Instagram, he clarified what happened.
Madame X, the tours of Madonna
Madonna is engaged in a world tour at Madame X that includes dates in dozens of locations around the world. Several milestones in Lisbon, one of which skipped because of the tear reported on the singer’s knee. A series of health problems were at the origin of the decision to cancel three concerts in Boston in November 2019. Even in that case, the artist had apologized via Instagram:
Please forgive this shot of the scene. Perform in my concert, every evening, I always bring a tremendous joy and clear one is almost a kind of punishment for me, but the pain that I am feeling at this moment is too big, to me, overwhelming. I need to rest and follow the directions of your doctors so that we can return again stronger and more healthy, and continue this journey of Madame X with all of you.
